We strive to create a community where every individual,
regardless of ability, is valued and supported.
Our journey began with a vision to foster inclusivity and create a circle of friends who could lean on each other for shared experiences. From advocating for inclusive programming and services to establishing Caledon's first home for independent living, our commitment to advocacy and awareness knows no bounds.
As we relaunch and reignite our efforts, we invite you to join us in making a difference.
Whether you're a family member, a volunteer, or simply someone who believes in the power of community, your support is invaluable.
Together, we can build a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Join us on this journey towards a more inclusive Caledon.

A growing and critical need to establish programs and support services for high needs, including daily activities that are foundational enough that can be carried into adulthood. The spectrum is wide, and so are the support needs. Our advocacy aims to raise awareness and partner with our Township, local agencies and the Region. Working to solution the gap for those that require more assistance and support to achieve a desired quality of life in the community.
Transitioning our loved ones from school years to adulthood can be a stressful period. Programs and activities are either at capacity or a scarce commodity. There is a critical shortfall of agile programs, and social engagements for those who require complex care. As one of our top goals as early as age 18, we strive to embrace inclusion
Transitioning our loved ones from school years to adulthood can be a stressful period. Programs and activities are either at capacity or a scarce commodity. There is a critical shortfall of agile programs, and social engagements for those who require complex care. As one of our top goals as early as age 18, we strive to embrace inclusion by advocating for services that extend to support our most vulnerable, for a welcoming and inclusive journey to adulthood.
The need for funding also includes appreciation and partnership with our local high schools to play a role in the design, and development of drop-in activities that are much needed for teenagers with differing abilities. Discovering ways to enhance the quality of life with activities that integrate our loved ones in recreation and social interests.
Current offerings of recreational programs are intended to support the needs of the participants. Our collaboration with stakeholders includes identifying critical needs and addressing those barriers for true inclusive opportunities, that provide much needed respite for families and caregivers.
The CAFFI team is focused on bringing attention to local community events that are inclusive and adaptive for those in our special needs network. Check back regularly, or click here to sign up with your email address to subscribe to updates.
